Progression Kettlebells Weight

Take hold of the new whole-body workout. Progression Kettlebells come in a variety of weights. Each one puts the kettlebell’s secret advantage to work on your arms, legs and core.

Unlike dumbbells, kettlebells are constructed with an uneven weight distribution and offset centre of gravity, compelling users to rely on their own counterbalancing and stabilization. This results in a total-body workout, activating almost every muscle group and significantly improving your cardio.

In fact, one American Council on Exercise study indicated twice-weekly KB training can improve aerobic capacity by 14% and core strength by 70%. This makes kettlebell training a valuable resource not only for athletes aiming to hit peak fitness, but also for older adults and others looking to rebuild their muscle and balance functionality.

This Progression set features 10 solid cast iron bells weighing between 4 and 40kg – allowing for targeted, incremental development of specific muscle groups. Each kettlebell is coated with resilient vinyl and colour-coded by weight for quick selection. A rubber base plate provides cushioning and prevents floor scratches when you set your weight down after an exhausting set.

Besides strength, cardio and unscuffed floors, kettlebells also deliver enhanced functionality and fat burning. ACE research also indicated that the average person canburn 400 calories in a 20-minute kettlebell workout. It’s the same burn rate (20 calories a minute) you’d achieve running a six-minute mile, but you won’t need a track, just the corner of a room. And several effective KB workouts are directly or indirectly designed to chisel those abs.

PROGRESSING WITH KETTLEBELLS

Work on technique first and once you’ve developed it, do not sacrifice form to perform extra reps or go up in weight (usually in 4kg increments). Doing so could result in muscle strain and potential injury. Strength will improve the more frequently you exercise, but don’t forget you need time to recover. Focus on performing your sets in a shorter amount of time before moving up to a heavier kettlebell.
